David Geldmacher, MD

Dr. David Geldmacher is a Professor and the Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs in the Department of Neurology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He holds the Warren Family Endowed Chair in Neurology. Having been involved in AD treatment trials since 1990, he leads the clinical trials program at the UAB Alzheimer’s Disease Center and UAB Hospital’s interprofessional Brain Aging and Memory Clinic. Dr. Geldmacher graduated from the University of Rochester with his B.A. in Biology and Psychology. He obtained his M.D (with Certificate in Academic Research) from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse. He undertook his Neurology training at Case Western Reserve University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Behavioral Neurology at the University of Florida. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Neurological Association. He has been inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society. He has been listed in The Best Doctors in America since 1998.
Marissa Natelson Love, MD, FAAN

Dr. Marissa Natelson is Associate Professor of Neurology, Director for the UCNS-accredited Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry Fellowship, Clerkship Director, and Lead Mentor in the SOM Learning Communities Program. She has 11 years of experience in clinical care and research programs for people with dementia and related disorders. She underwent her medical school training at Emory University, and her residency and fellowship training at UAB.
Princess Carter

Princess Carter currently holds the position of research nurse manager and ACTC Site Liaison at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Division of Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology. Her responsibilities include overseeing all clinical trials conducted in the "Memory Hub," a recently renovated space that houses the Neurology clinic, Neuropsychology, and Memory Disorders Research. This setup provides a seamless source of memory care at the site. She obtained a doctorate in nursing as a nurse executive at UAB in 2022, making her a three-time graduate of the institution. Currently, she is also completing a certificate program for nurse educators and works as an adjunct faculty member at the UAB School of Nursing. Outside of work, Princess enjoys spending time with her 5-year-old daughter and pursuing various hobbies such as baking sourdough bread, running, gardening, and roller skating.
